We use a shortwave current and very fine probe to cauterise the hair and destroy the hair follicle. It can be a little painful but our therapists are trained in techniques to minimise your discomfort.
Electrolysis hair removal is a highly skilled procedure that has a very good success rate for permanent facial hair removal. Because of the nature of the process involved, clients should expect the treatment to be quite time consuming. This is because each hair must be treated individually. On the negative side, electrolysis is associated with ‘pinprick’ pain sensations not unlike the discomfort caused when hairs are plucked with tweezers.
For most people, the use of electrolysis for permanent hair removal requires much more than one treatment session. This can be because of many factors. Our therapists will work with you on a plan of treatments to get the best results as quickly as possible.
